Watch Dogs: Legion Ends Support, Developer Post Appreciation Note

Watch Dogs: Legion sees a fair amount of content rollout. From Aiden Pearce-focused DLC expansions to the zombie-based “Legion of the Dead” game mode, Ubisoft’s experimental player-controlled adventure games have seen a steady influx of exciting mods and missions since their Fall 2020 release. However, a recent blog post on the official Ubisoft website announced that there would be no more content updates. The development team also wrote letters of appreciation to DedSec agents around the world who continue to roam London’s stylish and futuristic streets.

The letter begins with the designers recalling the Watch Dogs: Legion content roadmap, highlighting that it includes multiplayer modes like Tactical Ops and Spiderbot PvP arenas, as well as a horde of new characters like Mina, Helen, and Darcy. Quality of life improvements have also made gameplay more streamlined and accessible for new and veteran players. Ultimately, the developers were proud of their achievements and the positive response from fans.

The 5.6 update dropped last fall is the last as Watch Dogs: Legion begins to transition into a seasonal cycle.

“…you can expect a reward track with both new and returning rewards in online mode. The current Season 4 Rebels track, which includes 80 ratings, runs through January 22, 2022, followed by Season 5 Stripes. After that, seasons 3-5 continue to cycle, giving you the opportunity to return to the game and earn rewards you may have missed in the past. The expected reward is a modified version of Aiden Pearce’s jacket and Jackson’s mask and costume set.”
