The Final Fantasy 14 House Lottery Is Finally Fixed
Final Fantasy XIV’s house lottery was broken after a month.
On April 16th, the FFXIV maintenance update indicated that the latest lottery cycle for in-game homes had been discontinued, so when checking the placard showing the winner, the placard said there was no winner. This meant that no one could get a house. Polygonreports said that the issue has been fixed as of yesterday so the current lottery winning numbers are displayed correctly and the land purchase may be confirmed accordingly.
FFXIV Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida writes in the new update, “As mentioned in the previous update, we will perform maintenance to restore the lottery results data on Monday, May 16th.” “This maintenance will correct identified errors and properly communicate lottery results for affected plots to the appropriate servers.”
Result of this maintenance fix:
-
The winning number will be displayed normally, and the land purchase may be confirmed accordingly.
-
The site purchase and the temporary suspension measures previously imposed are lifted.
Yoshida says the land purchase must be completed by Thursday, May 26, because the next lottery cycle starts that day, given a winning lottery number. luck. The next exam will start on May 26th, with a typical 5-day entry period and 4-day results period.
Even winning entrants who have already received a road refund due to a recent lottery interruption will still be able to complete the purchase of the original lot. If you find out you won the lottery after receiving your refund, you will still be considered a lottery winner.
“In patch 6.2,” Yoshida writes, “we plan to implement NPCs that can voluntarily return accidentally refunded deposits.” “Since these housing lottery issues are serious and have caused great stress and frustration for many players, we have no intention of performing a data rollback to forcefully cancel the refunded road. Voluntary return of the deposit will be announced as soon as the NPC is ready to be implemented.
“Finally, we would like to thank you once again for your patience and understanding over the past month, and we would like to express our deepest apologies for the problems and inconvenience this has caused. We will do our best to safely recover your data, fix any remaining issues, and provide a fair and functional housing lottery system. Thank you for your continued support.”
