Moss: Book 2 Coming Soon
Despite the big reveal at last year’s PlayStation State of Play showcase, developer Polyarc has been almost rat-quiet about the game’s details. But the floodgates will open. Fans can also look forward to Moss: Book 2 on PSVR on March 31st.

The original VR adventure starring Quill, the adorable but powerful mouse, was released four years ago. Virtual reality technology has grown by leaps and bounds during that period, welcoming a follow-up to the well-received title. Moss: Book 2 isn’t going to launch on next-gen hardware, especially since we’re getting closer to the final release of PSVR2. But there may be news on the front page in the coming months.
In the preview footage, we saw a pint-sized adventurer right after the first game ended. As she travels through the gardens outside the castle to rescue her uncle, Quill and the player work together to overcome multiple obstacles. One of the new mechanics in this title is that the player can grow vines. Quill can use these vines to climb surfaces or cross crevices. With hours of more content than the first, according to the game’s creators, this second chapter really relies on heroic rodent-player interactions, and many new elements reflect this.

You can also expect new weapons in the game, including a large hammer for the mouse. The hammer found at the foundry, another open area below the castle and dominated by pipes and stones, serves several purposes. With this blunt you can clear obstacles, activate switches, or fight enemies. This will give players a lot of variety. Polyarc explains that throughout the game, acquiring various skills and gadgets, such as hammers, gives players enough reasons to revisit previously visited areas.

The virtual reality-based sequel is due out in two weeks, but before that, there’s something for fans. The limited edition Moss: Book 2 poster (pictured above) is now available on Amazon. The new adventure starts on March 31, so be prepared with or without a poster.
