Jane Foster is the next hero of the Marvel Avengers

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have revealed that Jane Foster will be the next hero of Marvel’s Avengers.

She’s the first new addition since Spider-Man, the PlayStation-exclusive hero that was released following the War For Wakanda expansion last summer that brought Black Panther into hospitality. Crystal Dynamics says when we can expect Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor after Update 2.5, which will be released after Update 2.4 is released to the game next month.

A blog post from Crystal Dynamics can be shared: “After that, there will be Update 2.5, and for more details on when, we’ll be introducing Jane Foster: Mighty Thor, a new hero, a new hero for all platforms at a later date.” To read. “Our hero design is driven above all by a core comic book identity, so as a fellow user of Mjolnir, her suite of abilities will have a lot in common with Odinson, but she will also definitely have elements of Jane. More details on how this will be implemented will come in the future.”

Elsewhere in their blog post, Crystal Dynamics details update 2.4, which is currently targeted for a May release.

“Events like Cosmic Threat, Tachynon Anomaly and Corrupted Vibranium have helped to build a backbone in the first year of Marvel’s Avengers and can add variety to Avengers initiatives and provide new and varied goals to pursue with your squadmates. ‘ reads the blog post. “Since they are on this year’s rotation schedule, we want to keep them fresh and engaging replays. So, in Update 2.4, we’ll be reworking the system behind those events to provide more rewards. Combined with the improved game loop introduced in 2.3, we think these new rewards will be a great way to make meaningful changes for veteran players and prepare them for new players.”

Here’s what Crystal Dynamics has to say about the upcoming update 2.4 rework:

  • We are improving and diversifying rewards throughout the event to make each event more unique and playable, each event now rewards a different set of gear.

  • Added unit rewards to more diverse event missions, providing more ways to earn ships and cosmetic vendor outfits.

  • Added higher power level gear rewards to the meta-goal, creating another path to fortifying gear beyond the soft cap on drops for non-Raid/Omega-Level Threat content.

  • Meta Goals reward the entire roster rather than a single hero, so you can prepare your squad as you play your favorite heroes.
