Fortnite Soundwave Series: Rapper Emicida Show Opens This Weekend With New Emoji

Epic Games has announced that rapper Emicida will be the next artist in the Soundwave series to see artists from all over the world perform on their creative island.

Emicida is one of Brazil’s biggest rappers, his performances kick off on Friday, April 29th at 6pm. Eastern Standard Time. It repeats non-stop for 72 hours until 6pm on Monday, May 2nd. Eastern Standard Time. To accompany Emicida’s performance, the Keep Going Lobby Track and Triumphant Emote will be available at the Fortnite Item Shop starting Thursday, April 28 at 8pm. Eastern Standard Time. Completing the Emicada experience will give you some XP and Soundwave Series – Emicada sprays as souvenirs from the show.

What to expect outside of a live performance is to discover a creative island inspired by Emicida’s life journey and how it influenced his music, created by community creators BertBuilds, Paradox Builds and Zen Creative.

“The setlist, which includes Emicida’s biggest hits, tells the story of how he grew up in Jardim Cachoeira, north of São Paulo, Brazil, to become one of Brazil’s most popular rappers and a successful artist worldwide.” Read the Epic Games blog post. “From experience, Emicida shares a little bit of his path as a rapper, from where he had street rap battles to international recognition.”

Players can watch the show via Picture-in-Picture (PIP) while playing other Creative Experiences, Battle Royale, and more if they don’t want to experience the creator-made island. However, Epic Games says this is only available at certain times of the event. You can access it through the game settings, but you won’t be able to play interactive elements when viewing the experience through Picture-in-Picture (PIP).
