Fortnite: New Pizza Party item restores health and shields during matches

There’s nothing better than pizza, and Epic Games has made it clear that this is true with the new Pizza Party crate items scattered around the island of Fortnite.

Added with today’s v19.10 hotfix, the Pizza Party Box consists of 8 “surprisingly nutritious” slices of hot, fresh Slurpshroom pizza. These pizzas are served courtesy of Tilted Towers’ new Pizza Pit, but who knows how the pizzas are scattered all over the island?

“Find pizza party boxes scattered all over the island, then throw one for an impromptu feast with your squadmates. You can literally throw a party. This Slurpshroom pizza box contains 8 incredibly nutritious slices. Eat it until you gain 100 health and 50 shield, which restores health and shield at the same time.”

You can also eat pieces right out of the box or save some for later use. This can be especially useful for squad members who are alone or ignore the team play aspect of certain Fortnite modes. Pizza Party chests can be found in chests, supplies, loot llamas, and on the ground. You can also use the bar to buy some from Tomatohead.

Epic Games says these items aren’t currently on competitive playlists, but like most items introduced to Battle Royale, they may be after a trial period.

The news of this pizza party item comes amid various rumors that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are joining Fortnite. Perhaps this pizza is how they lure them to Battle Royale Island, or maybe we are just stuck in a land of hopeful thoughts (TMNT would be a great crossover, right?). Only time will tell.
