Dying Light 2 New Game Plus Update This Week

Techland announced this week that Update 1.3.0 applies to Dying Light 2 Stay Human, bringing a fan-requested feature, New Game Plus.

More specifically, this update will hit the zombie parkour title this Wednesday, April 27th. This update will not only bring New Game Plus to Dying Light 2, it will also fix numerous co-op issues and add all-new endgame content. Called the New Game+ mod, this mod is available to all players who have completed the base game and automatically includes new scaling, new difficulty options, quest completion bonuses, and more.

“In New Game+, players can enjoy many new rewards exclusive to the mod while maintaining character progression from their initial adventure,” the press release reads. “Find 30 new inhibitors that are well-hidden and test all abilities to maximize Aiden’s health and stamina. Enemies now extend the challenge to Aiden’s level, but for those looking for a more challenging combat, Techland is the golden mark. I prepared to meet with you.

“This special battle will put even the most courageous pilgrims to a harsh test with unique enemies and unexpected actions. And for the ultimate challenge, look for the ‘Something Happened’ quest. New infestations await with new attacks.”

Techland says many new encounters in Dying Light 2 New Game+ will reward players with greater “legendary” weapon rarities and valuable items. We’ve also added a new Platinum Medal for Parkour Challenge with goal times based on community best results.

The press release states that “a host of co-op related bugs have been patched along with a few death loops.” “And for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X players, the new FOV slider feature lets you change your perspective within the game.”
