Dying Light 2 New Game Plus Update Now Available, Detailed Patch Notes

Techland has released patch notes for Dying Light 2’s upcoming New Game Plus mod patch, and beyond the new mod, it brings some extensive changes to the game.

A new patch released earlier this week has now been applied to Dying Light 2, and New Game Plus is available to all players who have completed the Zombie Parkour title’s base campaign. What to expect in this new mode will be new inhibitors, a new platinum goal for the parkour challenge, and more.

The patch notes read, “Once you’ve done it once, you can play the game again. This time, we’re just implementing a unique system and experience, using modified game parameters to encourage second play,” the patch notes said. there is. “Players can now progress through the story with an active mechanism. This includes new enemy behaviors, more difficult encounters, new objects within the world - newly added Inhibitors, and many more changes that significantly change the gameplay style and allow players to further develop their characters.”

The following are only available on New Game Plus:

  • 30 new inhibitors

  • New Platinum Goals for Parkour Challenges

  • Enemy distribution update

  • Added new legendary weapon ranks

  • Added Gold Encounter

  • Enemy difficulty is adjusted according to player level.

The rest of the patch contains many co-op updates and fixes, and there is a new Mutant Infectious enemy type that you can encounter by starting the in-game “Something Big Happened” quest. There are also many other updates, fixes and improvements to Dying Light 2’s gameplay, quests, UI, and more.

  • Fixed an issue causing story blocks in co-op mode due to unresponsive quest radio dialogue in rare cases.

  • Fixed an issue where the wrong icon was displayed on the map after a co-op party.

  • Fixed “Ask for Help” when a player is summoned during co-op play.

  • Fixed a black screen in certain situations that could interfere with progress during co-op.

  • Fixed an unnecessary “Skill Requirements” text error in the challenge description in co-op sessions.

  • Updated tutorial duration to 30 seconds during co-op sessions.

  • Fixed a bug where players could activate multiple story quests

Gameplay update

  • Reduced annoyance of enemies with bows - Reduced damage

  • Completed achievements are awarded correctly upon completion. This also applies to achievements earned before the update.
