Anacrusis Launches Early Access and Xbox Game Pass In January

Anacrusis, a four-player co-op FPS aboard a 1960s-style spaceship, will launch as an Early Access title on January 13th, and on Xbox Game Pass the same day.

Debuting at an Xbox event earlier this year, The Anacrusis captures the sci-fi atmosphere of Left 4 Dead, with hordes of aliens, four-player co-op elements, or the fact that it’s an FPS. Anacrusis looks like a game that any fan of Valve’s zombie shooter games can enjoy all day. Oh, and Anacrusis developer Stray Bombay was co-founded by Left 4 Dead lead developer Chet Faliszek.

“We are very excited to share it with the community,” Faliszek said in his press release. “Director 2.0 can push players of all skill levels to the limit, universal cross-play allows people to play with friends on any platform, and Game Pass allows you to reach a much larger audience than any other method. there is. We’re really proud of the first three episodes of the game, which we’ll be releasing in January, but we want to incorporate feedback from the community as we finish the first season and beyond.”

That’s enough for The Anacrusis to launch in “Season Zero” once it launches into Early Access and Xbox’s game preview program. This season introduces the first act of the story, the first deployment of an alien enemy, and a variety of guns, gear and perks that players will use to survive on the stranded luxury ship Isolode. While on the ship, Director 2.0 “controls every aspect of the game” in that it “creates all enemies, directs each boss, and places all weapons, gadgets and health kits”.

Anacrusis launches on PC as an early access title on January 13th, and as a game preview title on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S the same day. It will be released on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Windows 10) the following fall.
