Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp postponed again, no new release date announced

Nintendo has postponed the Advance Wars 1+2 reboot camp indefinitely.

After delaying Re-Boot Camp from 2021 to spring 2022, Nintendo announced on Nintendo Direct in February that the remake would release on Switch on April 8th. Now, Nintendo in Europe has revealed in a new tweet that Re-Boot Camp has been delayed again. “In the light of recent world events” appears to hint at the continued Russian invasion of Ukraine. Given that Re-Boot Camp is a game about war, it’s not surprising that Nintendo is currently feeling uncomfortable releasing the game. This delay also allows the team to spend more time working on the game if needed.

However, Nintendo hasn’t announced a new release date for Re-Boot Camp. If the company is delaying the game due to the Ukraine conflict, we don’t recommend announcing a new release date as we don’t know how long the actual dispute will last.

“In light of recent events, we have decided to postpone Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was originally scheduled to release on the Nintendo Switch on April 8th.”
