Action Roguelite Have A Nice Death Enters Steam Early Access March 8

Have A Nice Death caught our attention when it appeared at the 2021 Game Awards, thanks to its stylish hand-drawn presentation and smooth-looking action. Thankfully, developer Magic Design Studios is poised to put players to death at once by announcing that the game will launch on Steam Early Access on March 8th.

The game stars Death, who is under a lot of stress and whose underworld office is thrown into chaos thanks to his ferocious staff who run frantically on Earth. Besides ruining his vacation plans, this mess is also a big deal that upsets the balance of the soul. Arm yourself with a reliable scythe and keep your men the old-fashioned way.

The 2D game boasts fast-paced hack-and-slash action in which Death can wield over 30 different weapons. Because death cannot die, your success depends on iteratively completing steps to get better performance reviews to unlock new items. Death can also be armed with a beneficial curse, but doing so comes at the same cost as increasing the enemy’s strength.

Magic Design Studios plans to keep Have A Nice Death in Early Access for about a year, so don’t expect a full release until 2023. The game is released with multiple worlds and bosses to conquer, and the team will keep adding more. We’ll be providing more content and tweaking systems in the coming months.
