343 Industry Details Halo Infinite's New Season 2 Map

The second season of Halo Infinite, Lone Wolves, will launch on May 3rd and brings a lot of new content to the game. 343 Industries has released a blog post detailing one of the most interesting additions in the form of two new maps, Catalyst and Breaker.

Catalyst is a refined ancestral base restored by nature. Many leaves are expected to cover the monolithic surface, and 343 describes the Catalyst as a vertically symmetric arena featuring a hanging catwalk and a lightweight bridge connecting the two halves of the map.

The Breaker is a banished shipyard carrying wreckage on a dusty desert planet. Its central element is a massive plasma-cutting beam that moves across the map, allowing players to engage in battles at their own risk. 343 describes Breaker as a “pseudosymmetric BTB” map. Catalyst and Breaker support all existing multiplayer modes and new ones coming out next season. You can see a video of both stadiums in the video below.

Be sure to read 343’s blog post for the developer’s complete analysis of the inspiration and design elements of this map. Lone Wolves will also introduce new story elements, modes, and decorations.
